Service terms
About the service
Hadley Latham trading as SurveyDraw is a UK-based sole trader providing drawing services to business customers. Business establishment address: 18 Ramleh Park, Crosby, L23 6YD.
Contact: hadley@surveydraw.co.uk
We provide drawings from customer-supplied survey evidence. These terms cover orders placed for business purposes. If you are ordering for personal use, contact us before ordering so the appropriate arrangements can be provided. These terms do not remove any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Estimates and agreed scope
The website calculator produces an indicative price from your selected quantities, dimensions, detail level and extras. It is not an accepted quotation or a promise that the supplied evidence is sufficient.
You can place a provisional order and pay 50% of the calculated estimate before supplying your full survey handover. We then review the requirements and evidence before confirming the drawing scope, final price, deliverable formats and delivery timetable in writing. You can correct your information before agreeing that scope. Payment reserves the provisional order; it does not confirm that the evidence is sufficient or authorise drawing production. Drawing work is commissioned only when both parties agree the written scope and these terms.
Additional work or a material change to the evidence, scope or required outputs needs a separately agreed price and timetable before that work starts.
Placing and keeping your order
Orders are placed in English. Review and correct your package on the pricing page, sign in, check the server-confirmed price and order details, accept these terms and continue to Stripe to pay. You can return without paying to correct your selection. Your saved order and verified payment status are available in the project portal after sign-in. You may save or print these terms for your records. We acknowledge the order in the portal; a payment return alone is not proof of payment.
Customer information and drawing accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and currency of the survey measurements, drawings, photographs, instructions and other information you supply. You must identify known gaps, assumptions and inconsistencies, and tell us promptly if supplied information changes.
Our service produces drawings from the supplied evidence within the agreed scope. It does not include an independent site survey or verification of concealed or unmeasured conditions unless expressly agreed.
We will carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. We will raise material omissions, conflicts or apparent errors that we identify, or ought reasonably to identify when carrying out the agreed checks. We may pause affected work while clarification is obtained. Any resulting additional work, price or delivery change must be agreed before that additional work proceeds.
We are not responsible for errors in the drawings, delay or loss caused solely by inaccurate, incomplete or outdated customer information that we could not reasonably have identified while carrying out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. This does not exclude responsibility for our own drafting errors, failure to perform the agreed checks, or failure to raise a material issue we knew about or ought reasonably to have identified.
You should review drafts and report discrepancies promptly. Your review or approval does not remove our responsibility for our own errors. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Supplying files
You must have authority to provide the material and permit its use for the agreed project. Supply the necessary measurements, units, datum, references and instructions. Do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information.
We do not accept point clouds at launch, including LAS, LAZ, E57, PTS, PTX, PCD, PLY, RCP and RCS files. Renaming a file does not make its contents acceptable. Sparse survey observations are assessed according to their actual content.
Selecting a file locally is not an upload. Use the project portal to sign in, manage your provisional order and upload the original files listed in your handover. A confirmed upload receipt is not acceptance of a file’s technical suitability. We may ask for clarification, corrected material or additional evidence before proceeding. We will not treat missing measurements as established facts.
What the drawings include
Only the outputs and services identified in the accepted scope are included. SurveyDraw does not provide structural design, statutory approval or professional certification unless an expressly agreed service states otherwise.
Drawings must be used within their stated purpose, limitations and revision status. Drafts and previews are for review. Relevant site measurements and safety-critical matters must be checked by appropriately competent people before construction or other reliance.
The public portfolio is a separately redacted reference example. Its appearance does not establish the scope or suitability of any new project.
Price and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. SurveyDraw is not currently VAT registered and does not charge VAT.
For a provisional online order, a 50% deposit is payable at checkout, based on the selected package and specifications. It is part-payment toward the project, not a separate booking fee. The checkout identifies the order and the amount due. For a quotation agreed before payment, the deposit is 50% of the accepted price.
If review changes the scope or price, we will explain the proposed changes and obtain your agreement before proceeding. We will not automatically charge extra. Your deposit is credited against the accepted total; any adjustment to that credit or further amount due must be agreed before work starts. The remaining balance is payable when the work is ready for final issue and before final files are released.
Production starts only after written scope acceptance, receipt of the agreed payment and necessary information, and completion of the required checks. A browser return or customer-supplied payment screenshot does not establish cleared payment.
Delivery and changes
The delivery date is confirmed for the accepted scope. Any priority service is subject to confirmed capacity. If missing information or an agreed change affects the timetable, we will explain the effect and agree the revised arrangements.
The standard scope includes one agreed revision round unless the quotation says otherwise. We will correct errors in our work against the agreed scope without treating those corrections as an extra revision round. New requirements, revised source information or additional outputs may need a further quotation.
Cancellation and refunds
Contact us promptly if you need to cancel. Before written scope acceptance, you may cancel a provisional order for a full refund. If SurveyDraw cannot accept the work, or you decline a proposed change to the scope or price before production starts, we will refund the full provisional deposit. We will initiate that refund to the original payment method within five working days of confirming cancellation; your payment provider may take additional time to show it. No work will be charged against a provisional deposit before you agree the written scope.
After written scope acceptance, any amount retained or additionally due will reflect the agreed work actually completed and any specifically agreed, unavoidable costs, subject to applicable law. We will explain the calculation and refund any remaining overpayment. If we cannot complete the accepted service, we will discuss an appropriate remedy, including repayment for work not supplied.
Confidentiality, rights and project processing
You retain your rights in supplied material and permit us to use it as needed for the accepted project. After full payment, you may use and share the final deliverables for the agreed project, including with your client and appointed advisers. Any wider reuse or transfer of copyright should be agreed in the quotation.
We will not publish your project material as a portfolio example without separate permission and an appropriate confidentiality review. Where we process personal information on your instructions, the necessary processing agreement and return or deletion arrangements must be agreed before that processing starts.
We use software to assist drawing preparation under appropriate project arrangements. Any transfer of project information to an external processing service requires appropriate authority and a check of what is being shared. Drawing material remains subject to technical review, the agreed scope and the project’s data-handling requirements.
Problems and complaints
Tell us about an error or concern at hadley@surveydraw.co.uk, including the project reference and affected drawing revision. We will investigate and discuss an appropriate correction or other remedy.
These terms do not guarantee approval by a planning authority, building-control body or other third party.
These terms govern the provisional order; the accepted written scope and these terms form the drawing-project agreement. A later website update does not retrospectively change an accepted project.
